Sarah wrote an article in the Fall '04 issue of FH re: Designing a Breakfast Nook. We tore it out for our design notebook, but now we can only find the first page (p124). Is an electronic version available or does anyone know where design notes might be available (e.g. seatback angle, heights...)

Did you try the FH website to see if that back issue is available for order? Or try their archive section. If you do a search of articles written by Sarah, you may come up with the article there. The cost is about 4.00 for them to email it to you.

Thanks for the suggestion. Already searched the FH site / archive, but unfortunately the article on Brkfst Nooks is not available there.

We answer this question in our FAQs section of the website. Here's the text:

I'd like to build a breakfast nook, and I saw a great article by Sarah on properly sizing one, but now I can't remember where I saw it. Can you tell me where I can find it?

The article you are looking for appeared in the 2004 Kitchens & Baths issue of Fine Homebuilding (issue 167) on page 124. You can purchase a back issue by going to www.taunton.com/store/pages/backissue_fh.asp on the Taunton Press site.

I hope this is helpful. Thanks!

Marie

The breakfast nook article was so popular that it was chosen as one to be included in Sarah's next book, More Not So Big Solutions for Your Home, in addition to several other fantastic articles from Fine Homebuilding and Inspired House magazines. The book comes out in March 2010 and is available for preorder from the books page of this site.
