We are planning to build the original 'not so big house' in Western Canada and are wondering where we can source the rounded insulated fiberglass window panel for the front of the house. Has anyone used an alternative? Is this type of panel costly? Any other insights?

The original window panel was made by Kalwall (www.kalwall.com), but they told Sarah that they didn't want to do too many more after that. They might have changed their minds, so I would start there, but if not, you could have a custom designed window made for that opening. Just be sure to use translucent glass, since there is a bathroom on the other side. The Kalwall product is only slightly more expensive than a custom window, in terms of cost.

Thanks.

Major Industries will make it for you. Plan on a cost of about $2500
