Hi Everyone. This is my first time on the site and it looks like a lot of great information. I am in my senior year of college at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I will be graduating this summer with a B.S. in Interior Design. I am now writing my 25-page thesis paper and I chose my topic to be "The advantages of building a small, efficient home compared to a large "McMansion." If anyone one has some outside sources, or even any opinions and thoughts on this topic, please feel free to write a post. I'd really appreciate any input from professionals as well as home owners. Thanks! Lauren
Good luck with your thesis. I have a BS in Architecture...I wish I could have done something like that for a 5th year project...or have know Sarah's work when I was in school. Perhaps I would be a registered architect now instead of designer with a degree in Architecture, Master's in Historic Preservation....and my main source of money is in another field altogether! Anyway, read Sarah's books (if you haven't already) to get some very good ideas for your thesis. Have fun, it is an admirable topic!

Hey, how does that work in your school? Do you have to do a formal writing along with a project? How much time are they giving you with the writing? What books are you using? I'm curious because my sister is taking an interior design program and they do not have a required book or guidelines, so I thought I'd help her with this...Thanks!
