Im a this old house junkie who has read almost all of Sarah's books. They have been a huge help with my DIY kitchen re-design. I probably would not have screwed up the courage to move the doorways.
Anyway, when we moved into our house about 8 years ago, it was basically a brick shell. Everything needed to updated and I am slowly making the changes. Although my house is really a 1920's track home, it sits between two beautiful 1920 craftsmans home designed by a local architect. I would hate to make exterior changes that would detract from the setting.
Two of my major future design worries I need advice on are: 1. my windows- 'spencer'storms or replacements?. 2. a driveway design that matches a bungalow style and is environmentally friendly). Thanks for any advice. And thanks Sarah for writing books about small home design- they were long overdue!
