I am new to this site. My husband and I have been racking our brains trying to figure out how to make some changes to our log home.
Don't know if any of you have done any changes to a log home? Also, do you all know how much it would be to hire an architect?? It looks like we have one in our area that is familiar with the Not so big house. Thanks, Jackie

I would recommend that you hire the architect that you found on the home professionals directory for just an hour or two to have them come to your home and give you an idea of what can be done. If you decide to go ahead with what they recommend, you can then discuss fees for the entire project (rather than just for an hour of their time).

It would also be helpful to check out the questionnaire that Sarah has posted on the website to help with the interview process. It gives you a lot of great questions to ask - things that you may not think of before being more involved in the project.
