Not sure which discussion to post this on. So here goes. We are designing both a screen porch and a covered back deck onto our new house. The design is similar to the picture on P. 29 of "Outside the Not So Big House". We are considering a wood deck instead of concrete for cost purposes. What decking material is recommended? Treated lumber? Cedar? Redwood? Composite?
