I designed my NSBH with patios in mind, but due to some unforseen grading issues ended up with a single story house where floor level is roughly 2 feet above grade. Grade is 6" below top of stemwall. I have been told that I should not do anything that goes above that current grade except a standard wooden deck. I really want an eastcoast style natural stone patio. I have seen some products that allow you to use stone tiles on a wooden deck frame, but I want more of a natural flagstone look. Any ideas?

Thanks!
