My wife and I are in the beginning stages of building our dream home. We are needing to choose exterior colors. I am very drawbn to the look of Natural Red Cedar shake yet could not afford to do the whole house with this material. We will have Red cedar shake in the peaks and gables and cedar plank on teh rest of the home.

I want to have natural or clear coat for the shake but can not come up with a solid stain color that would go with it.

Does anyone have a recommendation?
