Can anyone point me to guidelines I could use to help explain to my carpenter the flat board trim ideas? I have Sarah's books, but looking for some actual size specs, etc. to use in explaining to my carpenter. Thanks.

We have the trim in our house. The carpenters used S4S 1 x 4's. They routed the back to prevent cupping.
