Hello. This is my first post here and I am looking for some helpful advice.

We own a small old house in Madison Wisconsin. We want to do a remodel of our first floor and I have fallen hard for the "not so big" design ethic. Any idea of how I can find an architect/remodeler/contractor who might feel that same way? In the alternative, any ideas for approaching a building professional and asking for a design the follow "not so big" ideas?

If you haven't already done so, please check out the Home Professionals Directory on this site. You can see the button to the left of this forum, on the bottom. The professionals that have listings on the directory are familiar with Sarah's books and will gladly help you remodel using Not So Big concepts. You will need to interview them yourself to find the best fit for your project, but this should give you a head start.

If you haven't already read Sarah's newest book, Not So Big Remodeling, I would highly recommend doing so as well before you begin.
