I believe that's the name of it. Back in the 70s - it was a book about 7 - 8 inches tall and maybe 10 wide? I've been trying to locate it. It's a modular concept... Start with a 20x20, add as desired. Created by facing front 'south' on the lot, north side was taller and few windows - loft area - very compact. I have not been able to locate the book or find the correct name and author. Would love to find it. Thanks all. This site is so enlightened.
What a coincidence. I just happened to read your post last night. This morning, I was reading through the bibliography of the book I'm reading from 1983 on drawing your own house plans. The very first book listed is "The Little House" by Leslie Armstrong published by Macmillan Publishing Company in 1979. There are a few used copies available through Amazon.
Is that the book you are looking for?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and just read your post. I checked out a copy of "The Little House" from an Air Force base library several years ago, then spent another year trying to find a copy. Thank goodness for the internet, as I've been able to locate and purchase 2 copies at reasonable prices. If you still haven't been able to locate a copy for yourself, you can search www.half.com and www.abebooks.com. Search by title, author, or ISBS 0025032305. You should be able to find the softcover edition for $12-15.00. Good luck. You'll be very pleased with this book. Joel
