Dear All,
Ooops I forgot to add the bit about downsizing in my last post. Suzanne, if you are going from 23sqrs to 12sqrs (I think that's what you said), have a look at the corners in the rooms of your new place. In one of the rooms I'm redesigning, I'm going to put in 2 corner bookshelves so I can utilise more space. It still keeps the corner, but you have books on either side of the right angle. I live in 15sqrs, I would love to live in 30, so I have to try and look laterally to see if I can get more storage into my house. Can you utilise wall space? Could you put a shelf above a door/frame a doorway with a bookshelf, across the top and down the sides?
The other thing I'm going to do is go to a boat show to see how storage is maximised. In a boat, storage is at a premium & there are often very clever storage ideas.
Cheers,
Loz,
Melbourne, Australia
